Used these this afternoon to cut back some zip ties and and splice some electrical wiring and they worked great! The blade is very sharp. The flush cut allowed me to snip off the cord right where it terminated at the appliance. If I had one gripe, it would be the spring. I want to keep them stored shut so they don't cut things in my toolbox, but the only way to do that is to put the plastic cap back on that they came with. Might just end up cutting out the spring... Other than that, these work great! Very happy. Would order again!
I bought these to snip the extra length after restringing my guitars, and these pliers snipped through the heaviest strings like butter. Very clean cut.
Sharp, well made, and just the size I was looking for. Thanks!
They feel sturdy. I didn't see light between the closed edges. They cut well. I was able to cut off the length of snapped flat spring in my window with these, which has already made them worth it. The spring feels nice and they haven't had any problems opening back after a cut.
These wire cutters are better quality than I was expecting. These are nicer than my old cutters that I lost and those were more expensive. This comes in a retail looking package with a protective cap. There was a little bit of machine oil on the blades when I first opened them (maybe to prevent corrosion?). The handle is dipped plastic which isn't my favorite but the coating does feel thick and durable. The hinge and spring feel smooth. The blades are very sharp. They also align perfectly and I don't see any light passing through. I had some 12 gauge wire on hand and it cut through it no problem. It also cuts zip ties with ease. It cuts clean flush to head of the zip tie. One of the pictures on the listing says these are micro flush cutters. I wouldn't call these micro at all. I wouldn't get these if you are looking for small cutters for something like modeling or anything where you need to get them in really tight places. I really have no cons with these. These are great cutters are a great price.
