These cutting shears are awesome, even for arthritic hands. I've only used them a few times but so far, so good. I oil the blades like they say to do. Definitely advise trying them.

They are very sharp and pointy there must be a better ego lock the product to the closed position. The supplied rubber closure requires 2 hands and to much force.

Does it cut up to 1 inch thick branches? NOPE! However; it fits in the hand well. It cuts excellently!
